Today I’m gonna thank myself for putting on the entertainment 😂👌🥲 Our last Friday at The New Albion sees Matt Fearon back with us 🎸 Come and join us from 8pm 🕗 ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Day 4 of thanks goes to the Widnes community 🖤🤍 As we come to the end of our time at The New Albion, we’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on the last few months, and one thing keeps coming back to us… the people of Widnes 🥹 We arrived with a vision of creating a pub that wasn’t just somewhere to have a drink 🍺 but somewhere families could make memories, friends could meet, local charities could be supported, and everyone felt welcome 🤗 Looking back, we’re incredibly proud of what we achieved together We’ve laughed, celebrated birthdays, watched the rugby, danced at our entertainment nights, held family events, welcomed new faces and made lifelong friends. None of that would have been possible without every single one of you who chose to walk through our doors and support us ❤️ Although this chapter hasn’t ended in the way we hoped, we’re saddened most by the fact that a community that embraced us so wholeheartedly has lost something that was growing into so much more. We truly believe Widnes deserved the opportunity to see what this pub could have become 🫶🏼 What gives us comfort is knowing that no decision can ever take away the memories we’ve shared or the friendships we’ve made. Those are ours forever. 🥰 Please join us on Saturday 8th August for one final Family Fun Day as we celebrate everything we’ve built together, share a few laughs, make a few more memories and say goodbye properly🥲 Oh, and at Karen’s request, she wanted karaoke until midnight 🕛 🎤 From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for every pint bought, every kind word, every recommendation, every social media share, every smile and every bit of support you’ve shown us Widnes, you’ve been incredible 🙌 This may be the end of our time at The New Albion, but it certainly isn’t the end of our journey 😉 We hope you’ll continue to follow us into whatever comes next🤞🏼 With all our love, Nic & Aidan ❤️ ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Today’s farewell post goes to, The Man, The Myth and the absolute legend that I’m proud to call my friend, Mr Widnes himself - Tim Holmes 🖤🤍 This guy has bought into our ideas 💡 and visions since day one From us sitting around a table at the stadium 🏟️ with ideas on his first day, to making all our visions for the pub and the club on match days a reality, we both achieved most of our goals for the game we love! 🏉 From the training game against Saints in pre season, to travelling to London for the first league game of the season and even our brainstorming texts at daft o’clock in the morning, we’ve had one hell of a journey, and this guy has always been our biggest fan! He’ll tell you Wigan’s the best with a grin, But we’re still counting the fingers he’s got on each limb 🚌 Jodie She was once on the other bus, that’s part of her tale, Now she’s with our customer, Gaz… life’s gone off the rails! One minute single, the next loved up for all to see, Talk about an unexpected journey! ❤️ 🍕 Karen Our oldest pot wash, a legend by far, Her entire weeks wages go back behind the bar, Calzone in her left hand, a pina cooler in the right, Without a drink in her system, she’d put up a fight! 🥊 🍽️ Jake, Alfie & Liv The KP trio, what can we say? Keeping the kitchen afloat every day Plates disappear quicker than you can blink, Without you three… we’d be up the sink! 💈 Juke - Jay and Luke Matching haircuts, double the fun, Still arguing over who copied who, no one’s won! 🏆 They bounce off each other from morning till night, Keeping us laughing with every sight. 👓 Kelsi Blind as a bat, but don’t be deceived, She’s the loveliest girl you better believe. She might not spot you across the room… 🤓 But she’ll brighten your day and banish the gloom! 🚗 Asha If excuses were trophies, she’d win every race, “It’s the car again!” is her favourite phrase. The RAC know her better than we do by now… We’re shocked when she arrives without breaking down somehow! 🤣 🧽 Sharon With bucket and mop she’s second to none, Leaving the pub sparkling when the job is done. If it’s shiny and spotless wherever you stand, You can bet Sharon’s worked her magic by hand. 🍻 To our mad bunch… You’ve driven us mad, You’ve taken the mick, You’ve tested our patience, You’ve made The New Albion absolutely f*#*ing sick! As we enter our final week here at The New Albion, it’s only right that we first thank our Widnes RL family 🏉 - without you guys, our match days wouldn’t be what they are! 🎉 🎈 When we first came here, we had a vision to make match days like I used to experience as a kid, home and away fans, adults, kids and the whole Rugby League family mixing together enjoying the build up to the best sport in the world! 🌍 🏉 ��I’m glad to say our vision became a reality! 🖤🤍 UTFC 🍾 Widnes Vikings Rugby League Club ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️
